One of two suspects allegedly connected to more than a dozen vehicle break-ins over the long weekend in Orangeville has been arrested.
At about 1:30 a.m. on Monday (Oct. 8), a home owner on Edelwild Drive turned on his outside light and saw two men fleeing his property toward Century Drive.
Officers were able to arrest one of the men in a backyard. The other suspect got away.
The 25-year-old Orangeville man taken into custody is facing several charges including theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and trespass at night.
Orangeville Police has identified the second suspect and says an arrest is immenent.
Residents are reminded to keep vehicles, sheds and garage doors locked when not in use.
