Orangeville Police is reminding residents that it’s illegal to damage or remove election signs.
According to police, a local candidate’s election signs have been damaged in town.
Police say the deliberate destruction or unlawful removal of elections signs is governed by the Criminal Code of Canada.
These acts are criminal offences and if caught you can be charged.
In addition, anyone who steals a sign off of a private property is also committing the offence of tresspassing.
