Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating a collision on Highway 403 in Burlington involving a motorcyclist and an OPP officer.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred at around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20th, when the officer attempted to stop the motorcyclist on the westbound lanes of Highway 407.
The motorcyclist continued onto westbound Highway 403, where he was involved in a collision with an SUV and a van near the Waterdown Road exit in Burlington.
The 27-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The SIU is asking anyone with information about the investigation, including video footage or photographs, to contact the lead investigator at 1-800-787-8529.
