The Milton Menace had an up-and-down weekend.
On Friday, October 23rd, the boys went into the Central Arena in Burlington to take on the Cougars.
It was the Cougars who opened the scoring, taking a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
In the second period, Burlington jumped out to a 2-0 lead before the Menace answered back. The hope behind Nathan Catalano’s 8th of the year didn’t last too long, as the Cougars scored two more before the end of the frame. It was 4-1 Burlington after 40 minutes of action.
A bit of back-and-forth in the third period made it a 5-2 loss for the Menace.
Austin McKillop was back in net for the Menace. He stopped 36 of 41 shots, giving him the .878% save percentage in the losing effort.
Milton continued their road stretch with a trip to Caledon to take on the Admirals on Sunday, October 25th.
The Menace came out firing. They scored five goals in the first period, and outshot the Admirals 26-4.
After a scoreless middle frame, the Menace would add one more marker in the third period. They clinched the 6-0 shutout win.
McKillop was once again back between the pipes. He stopped all 26 shots he faced for the perfect night.
The road stretch continues on Thursday, October 29th, when the Menace travel down to Leamington to play the Flyers. Game time at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre is set for 7:10 p.m.
