The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) has opened Kindergarten registration for the 2027-2028 school year.
The program is designed to engage young learners through a variety of play-based activities that help children develop reasoning and problem-solving skills while interacting with their peers.
Registration is available online. Required documents include a birth certificate for both Year 1 and Year 2 students, a Roman or Eastern Rite Catholic baptismal certificate for the student or parent, and proof of address.
Children entering Year 1 must be four years old on or before December 31st, 2027. Children entering Year 2 who are new to the school must be five years old on or before December 31st, 2027.
If a child does not have a Roman or Eastern Rite Catholic baptismal certificate, they may still be admitted if one parent can provide a certificate from either rite. Families can consult the board’s Operating Policy I-22 for further details.
Parents and guardians who already have older children attending the school can upload the required documents online or bring them directly to the school. For families new to the school, in-person proof of parent or guardian identification is mandatory.
As part of the registration process, schools will contact families to arrange a date and time to meet with the school secretary or office staff to confirm the required documents.
