Milton will welcome the UCI Track World Cup in April as Cycling Canada confirms a packed calendar of international competitions and Canadian Track Championships.
The schedule includes UCI Class 2 events in Milton and Bromont, national championship competitions in Quebec and Alberta, and the return of the UCI Track World Cup to our Mattamy National Cycling Centre.
International racing begins in Milton on Saturday, December 5th and Sunday, December 6th, when the National Cycling Institute Milton hosts its UCI Class 2 event. The competition will give riders an opportunity to earn valuable UCI points on home soil ahead of the UCI Track World Cup.
The calendar then moves to the Centre National de Cyclisme de Bromont in Quebec, where a UCI Class 2 event runs in January. The meet will provide international competition and an opportunity for athletes to train on the track ahead of the national championships.
Canadian Track Championships will follow in two locations. The Elite, Masters and Para championships are scheduled for January at the Centre National de Cyclisme de Bromont. The U17 and Junior championships will take place in April, hosted by the Alberta Velodrome Association in Edmonton.
The biggest international event on the schedule arrives in Milton from Friday, April 2nd to Sunday, April 4th, when the UCI Track World Cup returns to the Mattamy National Cycling Centre. The competition will bring top track cyclists from around the world to Canada as athletes work toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Cycling Canada says it is working with Ontario Cycling, the Fédération Québécoise des Sports Cyclistes and Alberta Cycling to deliver high-calibre competitions across the country.
