The province’s Special Investigations Unit has invoked its mandate following an incident which took place in Orangeville.
On Friday, August 14th, shortly before midnight, Dufferin OPP was conducting a foot patrol behind a commercial establishment on First Street when they encountered an individual.
During the interaction, the individual was arrested and subsequently transported to hospital with injuries.
The OPP notified the SIU, which invoked its mandate. As a result, the OPP will not be able to provide further information.
