A firearm seized during a traffic stop on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte has resulted in numerous charges against two individuals. Just before 2 a.m. on August 8, Orillia OPP officers stopped a vehicle for operating without rear lights. The investigation led officers to conduct a search of the vehicle.
As a result, police located and seized a loaded firearm, 13 rounds of ammunition, a knife, and suspected opioid pills. A 28-year-old from Oro-Medonte and a 26-year-old from London face multiple charges, including several firearm-related offences.
