Officers from Caledon OPP continue to conduct traffic enforcement across Caledon.
Three Commercial vehicles belonging to a Bolton-based company were stopped after being found traveling without any licence plates attached. As a result of the investigation, each driver was charged with three offences and the operating company charged with nine.
A loaded dump truck was subject of a traffic stop following an alert from the Automated Licence Plate Recognition system regarding an improperly registered licence plate. As a result, the driver was charged with eight offences and the operating company from Brampton was charged with four.
A commercial vehicle was stopped after being located traveling on a no-truck route. After inspection, the driver was charged with five offences and the operating company from Brampton was charged with three.
Commercial drivers are reminded that 24/7 compliance with CMV safety requirements such as inspections, hours of service, secured cargo and the movement of dangerous goods is critical to keeping roads safe and forms part of commercial vehicle enforcement.
