Each spring, sand and debris are removed from roads and parking lots to keep streets and storm sewers clean in Dufferin County. This work helps prevent materials from entering and clogging the storm system and ensures a safer, cleaner driving surface for all road users.
Shelburne’s annual street sweeping program will begin the week of May 4th, weather permitting.
Street sweepers will move zone by zone throughout the community. Updates will be shared as crews begin work in each area and as they progress across Town.
Ahead of the sweeping program, Operations crews are already working throughout Shelburne, preparing roads, and removing sand and debris from catch basins, sidewalks, and the downtown core to support an efficient cleanup.
