Caledon Day is set to return this summer with a full day of family-friendly fun, live entertainment and community activities, highlighted by a major Canadian country music headliner.
The annual event will take place on Saturday, June 20th at the Caledon East Community Complex, with Brett Kissel closing out the evening. Kissel, a 23-time Canadian Country Music Award winner and three-time Juno Award recipient from St. Paul, Alberta, will headline the celebration with an evening performance. This year’s entertainment lineup will also feature an opening act, with Rikki Lee Wilson presenting Love Story – A Tribute to Taylor Swift, one of North America’s top Taylor Swift tribute shows.
“After an incredible turnout last year, we’re excited to bring Caledon Day back this June,” says Caledon Mayor Annette Groves. “It’s a great opportunity to come together and enjoy a free day filled with family-friendly activities that showcase the energy and pride of our community.”
In addition to the main stage performances, Caledon Day will include programming for all ages, such as local performers on the Community Stage, arts and crafts, family games, food vendors, a beer and cider zone, and other activities throughout the day.
Also returning on June 20th is Velocity, Caledon Community Services’ annual cycling fundraiser in support of Caledon seniors. The event will take place at Caledon East Park and offers four scenic cycling routes designed for riders of varying experience levels. Registration is available here.
The Town of Caledon is currently accepting applications for sponsors, performers and vendors. Performer applications close March 15th, while vendor applications are open until April 30th. Learn more here.
