Officers from Caledon OPP continue to conduct traffic enforcement across the Town of Caledon, helping to keep motorists safe. A 25-year-old from North York was charged with failure to comply with prescribed requirements and standards, failure to surrender required documents, and failure to accurately complete daily inspection report. In addition, an Ontario numbered company from Brampton was charged with failure to ensure name & certificate number displayed on tow truck, failure to ensure copy of certificate is in tow truck, failure to ensure performance standards are met, and failure to keep records in relation to business. As a result, the tow truck was impounded for a period of 7-days. A 60-year-old from Mississauga was charged with operating an unsafe vehicle, using invalid insurance card, failure to surrender permit for vehicle and no validation on plate. A 21-year-old from Brampton received a 7-day drivers licence suspension after they were found operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle while their blood alcohol concentration was between 0.05 – 0.079, also known as the “warn range”. The OPP remains committed to making our roads a safer place through enforcement and public education. Motorists are encouraged to contact the OPP to report unsafe vehicles and unsafe driving behaviours that are observed. Road safety is a shared responsibility.
