A Halton man has been arrested following a fraud investigation by Waterloo Regional Police.
According to police, the man was connected to a fake projector scam on a University campus in the Kitchener-Waterloo area back on August 18th.
On Monday, December 22nd, he was arrested and charged with:
- Fraud Under $5,000
- Uttering a Forged Document
The accused has no known ties to Waterloo Region and had previously been charged in a similar fraud incident. Police are reminding community members to remain vigilant against scammers during the holiday season.
