The dynasty runs continue across Ontario in terms of baby names.
Olivia and Noah once again topped the list as Ontario’s most popular baby names in 2024, according to newly released provincial data.
The top 10 names for girls and boys in 2024 were:
| Girl name | Boy name |
|
|
Olivia has clinched the number one spot as the top girl name in Ontario for the 16th consecutive year, while Noah took the top spot as the most popular name for boys for the sixth year in a row.
The province says the annual list reflects trends captured through birth registrations completed by parents across Ontario. Alongside the announcement, the government highlighted ServiceOntario’s 5-in-1 Newborn Bundle, which allows parents to register a birth and apply for a birth certificate, Social Insurance Number, Canada Child Benefits, the Ontario Child Benefit and the Education Savings Referral service through a single online application.
Parents are reminded that births must be registered within 30 days to ensure timely access to essential documents and benefits. Roughly 135,000 births are registered each year in Ontario using the 5-in-1 Newborn Bundle.
