Dufferin County Council proclaimed November 25th, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women in Dufferin County.
Violence against women and girls remains one of the most prevalent and pervasive human rights violations in the world. At Dufferin’s last Council meeting, Family Transition Place accepted the County’s proclamation. Family Transition Place’s mission is to support the holistic wellbeing of those affected by gender-based violence and promote healthy relationships and community, through education.
