With the season’s first snowfall, Halton Hills staff are ready to keep roads, sidewalks, and parking lots clear under the town’s Winter Control Program.
While the snow will likely be gone by the end of the week, we’re expecting many more snowfalls over the coming months. Mayor Ann Lawlor urged residents to help by clearing sidewalks for neighbours and children walking to school.
The town maintains 1,100 km of roads, 160 km of sidewalks, and 27 parking lots, with major routes cleared first.
Overnight street parking is prohibited from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. starting on Saturday, November 15th. Those restrictions are in place until April.
