Dufferin OPP has charged an Orangeville resident with impaired driving after they struck a police cruiser while trying to back up.
On October 3rd, shortly after 11:00 p.m., officers responded to a fail-to-remain motor vehicle collision in the area of Sherwood Street in Orangeville.
Officers located the suspect vehicle. While trying to get the driver’s attention, the individual reversed directly into a fully marked police cruiser. Officers saw signs of impairment, and an impaired driving investigation was initiated.
A 38-year-old male from Orangeville, has been charged with the numerous offences.
