The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a deadly crash that happened Thursday morning in Burlington.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25th, officers were called to the intersection of Guelph Line and Britannia Road after a black Lexus SUV travelling westbound on Britannia collided with a southbound red Kenworth gravel truck.
A passenger in the Lexus suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a trauma centre outside the region, where she later died. The SUV’s driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital, while the truck driver was not injured.
Because of the severity of the collision, Halton’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to investigators to contact the CRU at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065 or by email at CRU@haltonpolice.ca.
