A 21-year-old Toronto man is facing multiple charges after a wrong-way driving incident on Highway 401 near James Snow Parkway in Milton.
Police say the driver was travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes at around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7th, when the incident was captured on dashcam video.
The man has been charged with:
- dangerous driving
- fail to remain
- driving the wrong way on a divided highway
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, though police note the situation could have ended in tragedy.
The OPP is reminding motorists to call 911 immediately if they witness dangerous driving.
