The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) stopped three vehicles for excessive speeding in Milton over the long weekend, with all drivers facing stunt driving charges and vehicle impoundments.
One of the stops occurred on Tremaine Road, where a vehicle was clocked at 133 km/h in a 70-zone. Police say the driver only had a G1 license, had no accompanying experienced driver, and did not have his license on him. Multiple charges were laid and the vehicle was seized.
Two other drivers were stopped for stunt driving in separate incidents:
- One was caught going 100 km/h in a 50-zone
- Another was traveling 128 km/h in a 70-zone
Both were charged, and their vehicles were also impounded.
Halton Police continue to remind all drivers to obey posted speed limits and drive safely.
