
The town is currently flushing over 1,000 fire hydrants to make sure they’re working properly in case of an emergency.
This also helps clean out any sediment that can build up in the water pipes.
You may notice brown or discolored water after flushing happens in your area.
If that occurs, just run your taps until the water runs clear. Make sure to check your water before doing laundry or using it for drinking.
Flushing will take place Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and will continue through the fall.
