Mayor Lisa Post and Councillor Joe Macintosh attended a special ceremony in Gravenhurst over the weekend, marking the decommissioning of the Firefighters Memorial.
With the closure of the Ontario Fire College in Gravenhurst, the memorial is finding a new home in Orangeville.
The ceremony was attended by provincial and local leaders, and firefighters from across Ontario.
