The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested a North York man following a home invasion case in Oakville.
On Thursday, June 19th, at roughly 4:00 a.m., three suspects, one in possession of a handgun, forced their way through the rear door of a residence on Brookfield Crescent.
Multiple residents of the home heard the sound of breaking glass and confronted the suspects, leading to the suspects fleeing. One suspect fled to the basement, where they were arrested by responding officers.
While inside the residence a shot was fired by a suspect. No physical injuries were sustained by household residents.
No property was taken.
Auto theft is believed to be the motivation for the home invasion.
20-year-old Trevaughn Walker has been charged with the following offences:
- Robbery with a Firearm
- Disguise with Intent
Walker has been held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
The outstanding two suspects are described by the HRPS as:
- male
- wearing dark coloured clothing and face masks
The suspect vehicle is described as a dark coloured sedan.
