A vibrant new digital art exhibit is lighting up the Sherwood Branch Library with KALA: Colours of South Asia – Celebrating Echoes of Home.
Running until June 28th, the exhibit highlights digital artwork from across the community, featuring contributions from young budding artists to seasoned creatives.
The name KALA, meaning “art” in Hindi, reflects the spirit of the showcase, while Nanhe (youth) and Kalakaar (artists) emphasize the inclusivity and cultural richness of the exhibit. Presented as part of a community celebration, the works explore themes of heritage, identity, and belonging through a South Asian lens.
The exhibit is open to the public and geared toward adult audiences (18+), offering an inspiring journey through artistic expression rooted in the echoes of home.
Visit the Sherwood Branch Library between now and June 28th to experience this colourful and heartfelt digital display.
