On April 27th at approximately 3 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint in the area of Centre Street in the Town of Shelburne. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male driver, observed signs of impairment, and subsequently initiated an impaired driving investigation.
A 61-year-old male, from Shelburne has been charged with:
• Operation while impaired
The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.
Dufferin OPP reminds motorists to plan ahead when consuming alcohol or drugs. Use a designated driver, cab, rideshare, public transit or stay overnight.
