Spring is here, and that also means construction season is underway.
The Town of Milton is investing $49.78 million in critical infrastructure projects throughout 2025y.
Work includes:
- road reconstruction
- new bike lanes
- sidewalk expansion
- asphalt resurfacing
- intersection improvements
- curb and gutter upkeep
- storm sewer repairs
- bridge maintenance
Throughout the year, residents can expect temporary road closures and lane restrictions on main roads and residential streets.
“This investment reflects our commitment to building a complete, connected community where people can move safely and efficiently,” says Diana Jiona, Director, Infrastructure. “These infrastructure improvements contribute to Milton’s continued growth, livability, and sustainability.”
Ongoing maintenance will also continue on local roads and sidewalks to improve safety, support traffic flow, and encourage a walkable, bike-friendly community.
Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted signage, and consider alternate routes when travelling near construction areas.
