Approximately every six days a woman in Canada is killed by her intimate partner.1 You can help change this statistic. Family Transition Place provides shelter, counselling and support services to those affected by gender-based violence. Their deeply committed, volunteer board of directors support these efforts by providing governance and financial oversight, consulting on strategic priorities, supporting community engagement and fundraising efforts and by sharing expertise and experience. FTP’s board is actively recruiting. If you want to help make a difference in our community reach out today to learn more about how you can help. Previous experience working at the community level, on a board committee, or in a leadership position, while an asset, is not necessary. All applications are welcome. /familytransitionplace.ca/get-involved/volunteering/
