Milton’s Town Council has approved the grants in the Milton Community Fund.
This coming year, allocated grants in the Fund will total $433,168. That funding will support 44 local organizations that help the community.
The Milton Community Fund supports a wide variety of not-for-profit organizations and programs that enhance local access to artistic, cultural and recreational programs.
“The Town is dedicated to supporting local not-for-profit organizations that help our community thrive,” says Milton Mayor Gord Krantz. “Grants from the Milton Community Fund empower these organizations to launch initiatives that unite our residents and enhance the quality of life in our community.”
Council established the Milton Community Fund to distribute a portion of the funds received from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Woodbine – Mohawk Park) to local organizations.
Since 2001, the Milton Community Fund has distributed more than $8.1 million into the community.
