
Leeds County OPP has charged an individual with impaired care and control of a vehicle, possession of suspected illicit drugs and possession of an imitation firearm, after a company requested officers check on their driver.
On September 6th, officers were called to investigate an overdue driver.
The company indicated the commercial vehicle was located at the north service centre since 8:00 a.m. that morning, and requested officers conduct a wellness check on the driver.
Officers arrived and observed the parked vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest, and suspected heroine, suspected methamphetamine and an imitation firearm were seized.
A 25 year-old male from Caledon, was arrested and has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Heroin
The accused is scheduled to appear in Court next month.
