An Oakville man has finally been charged following a fatal motor vehicle collision from late-2023.
On Monday, October 23rd, at roughly 12:00 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision at the intersection of Wellington Road 11 and Wellington Road 7 in Mapleton. A semi-truck and trailer collided with a pickup truck, killing the driver of the pickup.
The OPP has concluded their investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision and have laid charges on 60-year-old Krzysztof Wiatr:
- Dangerous Operation Causing Death contrary to the Criminal Code
- Careless Driving – Cause Death contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
