Milton’s Regional Councillor for Ward 4 Sameera Ali has officially joined the Halton Police Board for the remainder of the 2022-2026 term of Council.
Councillor Ali was appointed the role at a Regional Council meeting on February 14th.
She’s been serving as Ward 4 Councillor in the Town of Milton since 2018, with the previous term served as the Town Councillor. Ali holds a Masters Degree in International Relations, and has over 15 years of experience in managing multi-lingual Public Relations and marketing campaigns for clients all over the world.
“It is such an incredible honour to be part of this prestigious board,” says Councillor Ali. “As someone who has been an avid advocate for public safety for many years, I am excited to learn more about community safety, policing and judiciary through this role. I want to thank the Halton Regional Council and the Halton Police Board for their confidence in me, I hope to make everyone proud.”
She will continue to volunteer her time on 11 boards/committees and various local causes.

Councillor Ali was sworn in on Monday, March 11th, and will join her first Board meeting on Thursday, March 28th.
