An Oakville firefighter has been charged with two-counts of assault following an on-duty incident involving Halton Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staff.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 8th, Halton EMS staff responded to a call at a hotel room in Oakville. Halton EMS also requested assistance from the Oakville Fire Department.
At some point, an altercation took place between a member of the Oakville Fire Department and two Halton EMS staff.
The HRPS was later contacted and conducted an investigation.
On Tuesday, October 10th, 52-year-old Brett Eyers of Oakville was arrested. He been charged with two counts of assault. The accused was released from custody pending a court date in Milton.
