The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested an Oakville man following a drug trafficking investigation.
On Wednesday, June 21st, investigators with the 2 District Street Crime Unit executed search warrants at a residence and vehicle in Oakville. As a result of the warrants the following items were seized:
- Two ounces of Cocaine
- One ounce of Methamphetamines
- One extended magazine (holds 31 rounds of ammunition)
- One Conductive Energy Weapon (commonly referred to as a “Taser”)
- 13 rounds of .40 calibre ammunition
- 12 rounds of .45 calibre ammunition
- One functioning scale,
- One functioning pill press
- $800 in Canadian currency
- Stolen identity documents (documents reported stolen to Hamilton Police)

32-year-old Daniel Hackett of Oakville was arrested and has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Methamphetamines)
- Trafficking (Cocaine)
- Trafficking (Methamphetamines)
- Possession of a Prohibited Device Contrary to Order
- Possession of Ammunition Contrary to Order
- Possession of a Prohibited Device
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5000 (two Counts)
Through investigation, officers were able to confirm Hackett was trafficking drugs throughout Halton and Hamilton.
