A motorcyclist is dead after a collision of Friday afternoon near Milton.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says that a motorcycle collided with a four-door sedan on Friday, June 2nd at roughly 2:50 p.m. near the near the intersection of Nassagaweya Esquesing Townline and Number 25 Sideroad in Halton Hills.
Emergency personnel attempted lifesaving measures but the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the sedan was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Due to the nature of the collision, the Collision Reconstruction Unit attended and has taken carriage of the investigation. The Intersection and surrounding roads were closed for roughly six hours for scene investigation.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
Several witnesses remained at the collision scene; however, police would like to speak with anyone else who witnessed the collision (and did not remain on the scene) or may have dashcam video in the area at the time of the collision.
