An Oakville man now has an extra $1 million in his bank account after winning the lottery!
Martin (Marty) Safranek matched all seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the May 6th LOTTO 6/49 draw.
He’s played the lottery for about 30 years and it’s finally paid off:
“I play for fun,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I don’t usually play ENCORE. This time was a fluke. When I got an email from OLG telling me I won, I thought it was fake!”
Safranek says after confirming his win, he shared the news with his family, and they didn’t believe him at first:
“I felt like the sun was shining a little brighter that day,” he smiled.
He has no plans for his winnings yet.
