There is a weather advisory for Milton and the surrounding area.
Environment Canada has issued the advisory. After snowfall on Thursday night that led into Friday morning, the advisory is warning of an additional 2-4cm of snow for Milton today. Here’s the breakdown by Environment Canada:
Snowfall will decrease in intensity and taper off to flurries this morning. Snow could persist into early this afternoon in the Uxbridge to Peterborough regions.
Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
The forecast does show some positives. The weekend is expected to be sunny. The highs next week will be above zero, with potential rain.
We’ll let you know should anything change.
