2023 continues to bear fruit for the Milton Menace.
On Wednesday, January 11th, the local Ontario Junior Hockey League team (OJHL) took on the Lindsay Muskies at the Milton Memorial Arena. It was the first meeting of the season for the two teams.

The first period was scoreless, ending tied at 0-0 after 20-minutes.
The Muskies then broke through first, getting two goals in the first five minutes of the second period. The Menace bounced back though, with Lucas Buzziol scoring for Milton. It was assisted by Myles Perry and Aidan Hughes. Then, on the powerplay, Aidan Puley tied the game with help from Captain Owen Forester. The game was tied 2-2 after two periods of play.
The third period was all Milton. Dylan McFadden scored the go-ahead goal on the powerplay with help from Buzziol and Hughes. Puley added a second powerplay goal of his own, assisted by Nicholas Wereha and Connor Driscoll. Hughes (Buzziol and Perry) scored to give the Menace a three goal lead. Ivan Fabjan then put the final nail in the coffin, assisted by Cory Liu and McFadden. It was a 6-2 win for Milton.
In net for the Menace was Will Goumas, according to the box score. He stopped 33 of 35 shots, giving him a .942% save percentage for the game along with the W.
The win puts the Menace at 23-10-1-2 over 36 games. They have 49 points this season, putting them in fourth place in the OJHL North/West Conference.
The team will have the weekend off before they take on the Markham Royals again on Tuesday, January 17th. The two teams just played each other on January 8th. The Menace routed the Royals 8-3 to get their first win of the year. Puck-drop will be at 7:00 p.m. at the Milton Memorial Arena.
