Environment Canada is warning of slippery conditions in Milton and the surrounding area.
We received several centimetres of snow overnight. That has caused the roads to be slippery, and traffic should move slower than usual. We’re also likely to get a few more centimetres on Wednesday before things settle.
Here’s the warning from Environment Canada:
Snow is expected to taper to scattered flurries later this morning. This snowfall is due to a low pressure system that will continue to track northeast across the region today.
This is the first significant snowfall of the season for most areas.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
