The Town of Milton says the month of October will be recognized as Dwarfism Awareness and Acceptance Month.
Milton Mayor Gord Krantz made the proclamation recently and the flag is expected to be raised at Town Hall.
On Twitter, the Town noted the importance of the month:
This month is dedicated to raising awareness, increasing public knowledge, and diminishing stereotypes & negative misconceptions about dwarfism.
