Come and experience Maple Town!
Mountsberg’s Maple Town is open now until April 10th.
The Mountsberg sugar bush has been producing maple magic for more than 150 years and educating the public for over 40 years.
The park will offer visitors independent exploration and guided tours. Visitors can experience wagon rides, the Pancake Pavillion, and more.
Dates & Times:
- March 5th – April 10th
- Daytime Experience – Weekends and Holidays 9am-5pm (2pm final reservation)
- Evening Experience – Thursdays – Sundays and Holidays 5pm-10pm (8:30pm final reservation)
- Tour length 1.5 hours
Daytime Activities:
- Maple Sugar Samples: Let’s just say it, it’s the reason you came! Sample maple syrup directly from the source- Mountsberg!
*Please note that maple taffy on snow is an additional cost during the daytime experience. - Evaporator: Get a first-hand look at the process of how the sap is transformed into delicious maple syrup!
- Maple Trivia Trail: Enjoy a stroll through the 150-year-old sugar bush and learn a little maple trivia along the way. Take a moment to look up and imagine how many people have stood under these same trees each year to enjoy this amazing spring ritual!
- Historical Sites: Maple sugaring is a time-honoured tradition for Indigenous Nations around the Great Lakes, a tradition that they shared with Settlers. Visit this area to learn how the technique of maple syrup and sugar making has changed over time.
- Birds of Prey: Eagles, Owls, and Hawks, oh my! Visit the Wildlife Walkway to view the incredible Raptors that call Mountsberg home and learn their heartwarming stories.
- Natural Playground: The Play Barn may be closed due to COVID-19 but our new outdoor Natural Playground is open for running, jumping, and playing! Remember to give other families lots of space while you explore Mother Nature’s jungle gym.
- Fireside Lounges: There is nothing like relaxing by a crackling outdoor fire.
- Maple Taffy on Snow: Partake of this sticky, delicious, maple season tradition – everything tastes better on a stick, including maple syrup! Additional fee applies.
- Purchase maple products: Visit the retail store for all things maple. Only debit and credit are accepted at this time.
- Maple inspired food: Enjoy maple the way it’s supposed to be- eaten! Purchase pancakes and other food with maple syrup as the star! Food provided by Darren Ross Food Services.
- Daytime Tour: Add a tour to your reservation and learn all about tree ID and tapping, get an exclusive tour of the the Sugarbush, tree cookie branding, and flight of different types of delicious maple syrup to taste! You can add the guided tour to your visit through the reservation website. (Daytime Tours meet in the Cameron Courtyard)

(This is a fully guided tour. Guests must pre-reserve and arrive on time to avoid disappointment) - Note: The pancake house is open 9am-5pm only. There is no food available for purchase during evening tours.
