Dufferin County’s Economic Development Department, is hosting a free mental health series,
designed to support business owners, agriculture professionals, and their teams.
It’s no secret that the pandemic has taken a serious toll on people’s mental health, and Dufferin County’s workforce is no exception.
We spoke with Britney Hope, the Economic Development Coordinator for Dufferin County, Psychotherapist and Owner of Art as Therapy in Orangeville Rapinder Kaur, and Karisa Downey, who is the manager of Economic Development in Dufferin County.
Where did the idea originate, to hold a free mental health series of events and workshops, for business owners, agricultural professionals and their teams here in Dufferin County ?
With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, why is it important that we understand and take action when it comes to mental health , especially for business owners?
What can members of the Dufferin County community expect to take away or learn from the events and workshops ?
What can members of our community do to support these business owners and agricultural professionals, when it comes to their businesses and mental health ?
The first FREE workshop will be held on September 28th, from 7-8 PM.
