Raising more than $46,000 for Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital last year has earned Orangeville’s Dairy Queen, a major company honour.
The Riddell Street location was DQ’s top fundraiser in eastern Canada.
Like every year for almost two decades, owner and operator John Lockyer has made a major contribution toward paying for needed services and programs at Sick Kids.
Over 18 years, the local franchise has raised more than $617,000 for the hospital.
A company statement says “year after year John continues to be a tremendous leader for the Dairy Queen system and is a huge supporter of his local community, always challenging himself and his team to increase their fundraising achievements”.
