Orangeville councillor, Lisa Post is vying to become Dufferin-Caledon’s next Liberal MP.
Post says she was approached by the federal Liberal party.
She says the Liberals have a “people first” approach, which she credits for keeping Canada’s economy afloat during the pandemic.
Post says she’ll continue serving her council term unless she wins the election, but adds she isn’t worried about being accused of partisanship while in her municipal seat.
And although the riding is traditionally blue, Post says that stronghold is loosening as the town’s demographics shift.
That said, she hopes constituents vote based on her track record rather than focusing on party stripes.
