Guard your personal belongings while at Walmart is Dufferin OPP’s message after police received seven reports of thefts of wallets, purses and vehicles since October 1st.
Police are especially wary of thefts as the holiday season approaches and say the inidividuals behind these crimes are experienced, observe their targets and pounce when people let their guard down.
Police advise shoppers to not be distracted with electronics, be aware of their surroundings and always have valuables on hand at all times.
