When it was time for Kris Bryan to choose a career for himself his options were between pursuing a sports scholarship or continuing the family farming trade.
Bryan chose the agriculture route and now he heads Bowling Green Farms in Amaranth.
But even if he could, Bryan says there’s no turning back, “You can’t turn your back on it. You gotta hit them full steam and you gotta figure them out or like I said, close up shop and do something else and that just isn’t an option.”
Bryan is committed to the agriculture industry and has expanded the family farm to include dairy production and soybean production — his soybeans are shipped overseas to Japan, something he finds rewarding when he says “We’re literally feeding people around the world.”
