Dori is a spitfire when it comes to helping the community.
She has been a member of the Dufferin Chapter of the IODE for almost 30 years.
A former educator, Dori was looking for an organization to volunteer with. She researched the history of the IODE, and decided to join.
She became a member in 1993 and the rest is history. She takes great pride in what the group has accomplished, and continues to accomplish.
She says that one of the biggest challenges she has faced as a member of the IODE is recruiting new members, but she believes that it’s a mind set when people say they don’t have enough time.
She says for any young women, she encourages them to attend a meeting and learn about the organization, and they will quickly agree thatthe IODE does great things for the communities it serves.
And if that’s not enough, Dori is also on the Headwaters Hospital Board.
