myFM gave Headwaters Health Care Centre’s front line workers a big My Broadcasting Corporation thank you for all their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
About 50 business sponsor names were attached to a 10 foot long banner given to the hospital in appreciation for their continued work in the battle against the highly contagious virus.
Director of Health Systems and Integration at Headwaters, Mary Wheelwright says aside from their patients, front-line workers are also separated from their community, so the appreciation reminder is meaningful for them.
Marching to the tune of business sponsor and owner of McDonalds, Rory MacKinnon on bagpipes, myFM and hospital staff showed off the banner in the hospital’s parking lot on Tuesday afternoon (May 19).
MacKinnon says it’s just one of the many ways local businesses are thanking hospital staff.
The banner will be up on public display at the health care facility.
