Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health confirmed the first local coronavirus case on Monday (Mar. 16).
If you suspect you’re experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, such as fever, cough, pneumonia, here’s what the public health unit wants you to do.
If your symptoms are mild, stay at home and self-isolate, for moderate symptoms, call Telehealth at 1-866-797-0000 or Public Health’s call centre (1-800-265-7293 ext. 7006).
And if you’re experiencing severe symptoms and it’s an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
The local public health unit has opened an assessment clinic in Guelph.
It’s reserved for those experiencing symptoms and is located at 65 Delhi Street in Guelph and will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, 7 days per week.
