A Shelburne man and West Grey Police officer is being remembered as an affable young man, devoted to his public service career, by neighbours and police forces across the province.
Shelburne resident, Borys Lenko collapsed in his home last July from a heart attack.
Lenko’s neighbour, 28-year-old Cory Trainor came to his rescue until emergency services arrived.
And now Lenko is left in disbelief of his passing.
On February 18th, Trainor was found deceased in a police cruiser on Sideroad 6 in Southgate Township.
Owen Sound Police is investigating the matter, but it doesn’t consider his death to be criminal or suspicious.
Trainor served as a media relations officer for West Grey Police.
Orangeville Police has lowered flags at its headquarters in Trainor’s memory.
