Dufferin-Caledon MP Kyle Seeback will be part of the Conservative Party’s shadow cabinet.
Seeback has been named deputy shadow minister for immigration, refugees and citizenship. He will work the portfolio with the Honourable Peter Kent.
According to Seeback, citizenship and immigration is the “single largest” file he’s contacted about.
He says he has repeatedly heard how the current immigration system is broken, from baseless refusals for visitor visas to delayed processing of study permit applications.
Seeback says the Liberal government’s lack of leadership on this portfolio over the last four years have been very disappointing.
